A wonderful fall drink – get the best apple cider around!

2 oz Calvados (can substitute with a good apple brandy)

1/4  to 1/2 oz maple syrup (to taste, careful with the sweetness in this one!)

Juice of 1/4 orange

3/4 oz dry vermouth

3 dashes Angostura bitters

2 oz apple cider

1/2 oz cointreau

Shake with ice

Can be topped off with prosecco (we normally don’t). Decorate with a slice of apple. For extra credit, use a cookie cutter to cut some nice shape out of the apple slice and use either that or the “negative” for decoration.
